Information about whales

Every year, humpback whales and southern right whales migrate along the NSW coastline. They head north throughout June and in July, and return southwards from around September to November.

True Blue Cruises from Sydney guarentee sightings in this period, from Hargraves Beach the whales can sometimes come in to within a few hundred metres of the beach, but are generally sighted between 1-2 km from the coast. You can still see the clouds of air as they surface, but a good pair of binoculars or telescope is recommended.
