Hargraves BeachHouse has two private and separate self-contained living levels. The ground floor level includes a double garage at street level. Public Access to the beach is just 25 metres across the street from our house. A mere 30 second walk….
The entire ground floor, backyard and the 2 car lock up garage at street level is for guest’s exclusive use. Including the backyard entertaining area, the Spa and the wrap around deck, there are 75 squares (700 square metres) of luxury holiday accommodation.
We occupy the TOP floor as owners/caretakers. (Lyn and Ian McCallum) Our area is completely self-contained and TOTALLY separate from our guests. We will welcome and open the house for you if required, we can help you familiarise yourselves with all of the property features and facilities to ensure an unforgettable stay. Unless you need us – you won’t see us until checkout time. Check in at any hour after 3pm on the day of your arrival for no extra charge.
Conveniently, having on-site caretakers mean no collecting or dropping off keys from a separate location and arrival can be arranged outside of business hours or at a pre-arranged time to suit you, our guests. And of course, your privacy is respected and assured.
Louvre windows throughout the house offer natural ventilation, tinted sliding and stacking glass doors provide easy access to the deck and allow a spectacular 10 kilometre long ocean view from Hargraves Beach all the way around the coast to Birdie Beach and Bird Island.
Natural and sky light, the fragrance of frangipanis in season and fresh sea air accompany the sound of ocean waves throughout the house.
There are two accesses for entry to the property. Garage and External.
Is at front street level. We usually have the door open for you when you first arrive, if not, there is a combination keysafe in the front courtyard for you to use to gain access. The 2 car garage has a bathroom with shower and toilet. Internal stairs lead to the ground floor main living area.
The garage has total privacy and security and it can be remotely closed before leaving the car and entering the house. This a feature that several guests have already remarked upon. The garage also has an extra plumbed-in double door side-by-side fridge and freezer with ice dispenser and chilled water so extra beverages or food can be stored at this level and brought up to the main living area as required.
Access to the internal stairs is via the street level entry door located in the front courtyard
This entry has a keysafe, doorbell and an outside hand held hot and cold outside shower
Please note that there is a one step 150mm (6″) split level between the living and bedroom areas and the wrap-around outside deck has also a single step approximate 120mm high (5″) Please advise us on booking request
